General Terms
Dymocks Training
Dymocks Education Pty Ltd t/as Dymocks Training ABN 87 092 772 702 is referred to as “Dymocks Training” in these conditions. Dymocks Training is a registered training organisation RTO ID 45981 and has its principal place of business at Level 3, 1 Fitzwilliam Street, Parramatta NSW 2150.
Agreement
You accept this agreement when you enrol. If you are under the age of 15 You must have a parent or guardian accept the Student Agreement.
Contracted training
Contracted training is excluded from the terms of this Student Agreement and is instead covered by the terms and conditions of the specific contract training agreement.

Enrolment Conditions
Confirmation of enrolment
Upon enrolment you will receive:
- Email confirmation of enrolment for the course or training (collectively referred to as ‘training’)
- A tax invoice
- Course materials
- (where applicable) access to an online learning system with relevant course materials
Preconditions
Commencement in training is subject to:
- sufficient enrolments in in that training
- course prerequisite/s being met
- availability of places in the training course
- you paying any fees for that training
- you providing all necessary information to process your enrolment
- Dymocks Training retaining the right to offer the training (where that course is subject to licensing or regulatory requirements)
Cancellation
Dymocks Training reserves the right at any time to cancel training. Normally this will only occur where a scheduled trainer is unavailable to deliver the training or Dymocks Training does not have the right to deliver such training.
Where training is cancelled by Dymocks Training, students will be offered the opportunity to:
- Attend an upcoming training session; or
- Receive a full refund.
Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, the right to reschedule or receive a refund are the only rights of the learner.
Change of mind
You may, at any time, change your mind and withdraw from training.
At the discretion of Dymocks Training you can withdraw from training prior to receiving learning materials or access to online learning systems provided you pay a cancellation fee of equal to $50 or 10% of the course cost, whichever is greater.
Once you receive learning materials and/or access to online learning systems you can cancel your enrollment at any time. However, you will not receive a refund unless any grounds in the Australian Consumer Law are applicable.
Student unavailability
If you are unable to complete training you must notify Dymocks Training as soon as reasonably practicable after becoming aware of the inability. Upon notification Dymocks Training will:
- Reschedule your enrolment to an upcoming session. A rebooking fee of $50 or 10% of course cost may apply (whichever is the greater)
- Defer your enrolment for a reasonable period (where regulatory requirements do not prevent this)
- Cancel your enrolment and provide you with a credit against a future enrolment to be commenced within 12 months of cancellation
- At the discretion of Dymocks Training, refund you the Fees less Dymocks Training reasonable costs of having delivered training and completed administration of your enrolment
The rights detailed above are in addition to those that a student may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Change to details
You agree to advise Dymocks Training of any change of your address, contact information or other information which Dymocks Training is required to collect by any vocational education and training regulator.
Dymocks’ inability to deliver due to third party factors
Dymocks Training will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations that is caused by events outside Dymocks Training’s reasonable control (Outside Event). An Outside Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond Dymocks Training’s reasonable control. Dymocks Training will use reasonable endeavours to resolve the Outside Event or to find a solution by which obligations may be met despite the occurrence of the Outside Event.
Where an Outside Event occurs Dymocks Training may:
- Reschedule your training
- Delay provision of training or related services
- Rebook your training
- Offer you a credit for future training, such credit useable within 12 months
- Refund your Fees less a reasonable administrative charge capped at $50 or 10% of course fees (whichever is the greater)
Our obligations to students
In providing training to students, Dymocks Training accepts the following obligations:
- Behaviour: Dymocks, its employees and contractors will comply with the Behaviour section of this agreement. All Dymocks personnel will act with passion, expertise and care in the delivery of the training.
- Quality of Training: Dymocks promises to provide high-quality training that meets or exceeds the standards set by the relevant accrediting bodies. This includes ensuring that all course materials are up-to-date, accurate, and relevant to the course objectives.
- Qualified Instructors: Dymocks guarantees that all instructors and trainers are suitably qualified and experienced in their respective fields. They will maintain a high standard of professionalism and expertise in their teaching.
- Access to Resources: Dymocks will provide students with access to all necessary resources and materials Dymocks deems reasonably necessary for the completion of the training. This includes textbooks, online resources, and any necessary equipment or software.
- Support and Guidance: Dymocks commits to providing students with adequate support and guidance throughout their training.
- Fair Assessment: Dymocks promises to assess students’ work fairly and objectively, in accordance with any marking guidelines. All assessments will be marked in a timely manner, and feedback will be provided to help students improve.
- Transparency: Dymocks will be transparent about all costs associated with the course, including tuition fees, material costs, and any other potential charges. Any changes to these costs will be communicated to students in a timely manner.
- Data Privacy: Dymocks commits to protecting students’ personal and financial information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. This includes not sharing students’ information with third parties without their explicit consent or as otherwise specified in the Privacy Policy and Privacy Collection Statement.
- Dispute Resolution: Dymocks will provide a fair and transparent process for resolving any disputes or complaints that may arise during the training. This includes providing students with clear information about how to raise a complaint and how it will be handled.
- Adherence to Regulations: Dymocks will comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to education and training, workplace health and safety, and anti-discrimination.
- Continuous Improvement: Dymocks commits to continuously improving its courses, teaching methods, and services based on feedback from students and industry developments.
Other than as specified in this agreement and required under the Australian Consumer Law and any other relevant laws, Dymocks Training accepts no other obligation or liability to students.
Learner Obligations
Behaviour
Dymocks Training requires all team members and students to behave in a truthful, professional, courteous and respectful manner. Students that fail to comply with this standard will be given notice of unsatisfactory conduct and provided a reasonable opportunity to improve their behaviour. Failure to do so can lead to termination of the student’s enrolment without refund.
This behavioural obligation may be supplemented by a formal Code of Conduct. Where such a policy exists and is listed on Dymocks Training’s website students agree that they will comply with such Code of Conduct.
Academic Obligations
As a student of Dymocks Training, you are obligated to fulfil the following conditions to ensure the successful completion of your training and maintain the academic integrity of our institution:
- Course Commencement: You should commence your training promptly. If you foresee any issues that may prevent you from starting your training on time, please notify Dymocks Training as soon as possible.
- Time Commitment: You are expected to dedicate a sufficient amount of time to your training, as advised in the course guide or by your educator. This time should be appropriately divided between attending scheduled classes (if applicable), independent study, and assessment tasks.
- Use of Course Materials: You are expected to utilise all the course materials provided, such as textbooks, lectures, online resources, and practical materials, to enhance your learning experience and ensure you understand the course content fully. You are also expected to conduct reasonable research to support your learning.
- Feedback: We highly encourage you to provide feedback on the training, course materials, and teaching quality to help us continually improve the learning experience at Dymocks Training. Dymocks Training may adopt regular reporting and feedback and you will comply with these requirements as a condition of your enrolment.
- Assessment Deadlines: It is your responsibility to complete all assessment tasks by the due dates set by your educator. If you encounter any difficulties, please contact Dymocks Training as soon as possible.
- Communication: You must promptly communicate any issues or circumstances that may impact your ability to complete the course, including personal, health, or family issues, to Dymocks Training.
- Academic Integrity: You must ensure that all your submitted work is original and your own. Plagiarism, collusion, cheating, or any form of academic misconduct will not be tolerated. Any sources used should be appropriately referenced using a recognised citation system.
- Technical Requirements: If your course involves any form of online learning, it is your responsibility to ensure you have a reliable internet connection and the necessary software and hardware to participate in the course.
By enrolling in a course with Dymocks Training, you agree to these obligations and understand that failure to meet these obligations may impact your training and could potentially result in academic penalties including suspension or termination of your enrolment.
Learner portal
Login information
You agree that your log-in details for training delivered via any learning management system cannot be shared. In the case that you do share these details with others it may lead to the cancellation of your enrolment.
Technical proficiency and support
You agree that it is your responsibility to ensure that your computer and any internet or mobile data services that you have are sufficient to enable access to learning management systems provided by Dymocks Training. You agree to test your system prior to attending training and should the test fail that you will then seek support to rectify the issue.
It is your responsibility to have sufficient technical proficiency to operate the various software used in the delivery of the training. Any specific digital literacy requirements will be identified for training in course brochures or the website.
You acknowledge and accept that Dymocks Training cannot be held responsible for any technical problems encountered by you including (but not limited to):
- The operation of the internet and the World Wide Web, including but not limited to viruses
- Any firewall restrictions that have been placed on your network or the computer you are using to access the learning management system provided by Dymocks Training
- Failures of telecommunications links and equipment
- Browser application version issues
- All other technical issues other than those related to the learning management system provided by Dymocks Training
Materials and copyright
The learning materials and any accounts belong to Dymocks Training. Students are permitted to use the materials whilst they are a student of Dymocks.
Once a person ceases to be a student they can continue to use any physical materials we have provided but only for their own study and personal use. Any accounts we issued will be deleted at the end of the student’s enrolment and data may be lost. You agree that you will not, at any time, distribute or make copies of the materials to give to third parties.
You agree that all lessons and any related material supplied by Dymocks Training are subject to copyright. You understand that any unauthorised copying may constitute a breach of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) (as amended from time to time).
